2. Vocabulary: Lesson 1
There are 4 steps for students to review the vocabulary at home:
- Step 1: Look closely at the picture, click on the sign (+) and read the word.
- Step 2: Open it and listen to the word carefully
- Step 3: Read the English meaning and Vietnamese meaning
- Step 4: After finishing all the words, read the words one more time

Step 1: Similarly, listen to and recognize the sounds /ʊ/ and /uː/ using a pronunciation dictionary or phonetic materials.
Step 2: Listen to and repeat words or sentences containing the sounds /ʊ/ and /uː/ to become acquainted with pronunciation.
Step 3: Complete pronunciation exercises to ensure you pronounce words containing the sounds /ʊ/ and /uː/ correctly.
- Lesson 3: /ə/ and /ɜ:/
Step 1: Proceed to listen and recognize the sounds /ə/ and /ɜ:/, using a pronunciation dictionary or phonetic materials.
Step 2: Listen to and repeat words or sentences containing the sounds /ə/ and /ɜ:/ to become familiar with them.
Step 3: Complete pronunciation exercises to check your pronunciation of words containing the sounds /ə/ and /ɜ:/.
Step 4 (Review Lessons 1, 2, and 3): Revisit the exercises from Lessons 1, 2, and 3 to become more accustomed and improve pronunciation.
