The Hidden Jewel of Thanh Quoc: Two-Year Aged Cốt Nhĩ Fish Sauce
Among Thanh Quoc’s most treasured creations, the Two-Year Buried-Aged Cốt Nhĩ Fish Sauce stands apart as a masterpiece of patience and purity.
Representing only a small fraction of our production due to its meticulous process and high cost, it captivates discerning connoisseurs who appreciate authenticity, refinement, and natural craftsmanship.
After 12 to 15 months of traditional barrel fermentation, the first extraction — known as "cốt nhĩ", the richest and purest essence — is drawn, sealed in glass bottles, and buried underground for two years at a precise depth.
Once unearthed, the sauce is gently filtered and bottled to perfection, resulting in an exceptionally smooth, complex, and aromatic fish sauce — the very soul of Phu Quoc’s culinary heritage.
VIII. Milestones & Events
A Landmark Export to the United States

On November 16, 2022, Thanh Quoc proudly exported its first shipment of Phu Quoc fish sauce and island specialties to the United States — including Phu Quoc PDO Fish Sauce 40N and other local delicacies such as ground pepper, ripe pepper, pepper salt, candied pepper, and shrimp paste.
The successful export of the first container is a positive signal for accessing the highly potential market in the U.S.
A Living Heritage

In December 2022, the traditional craft of Phu Quoc Fish Sauce making was officially recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage of Vietnam — honoring the artisanal knowledge and cultural values passed down through generations.
